Introduction to Qi Gong
by Dr. D. Wong, Ph.D
Qi Gong is currently practiced by many millions of people worldwide. There are many different types of Qi Gong practices offered that a person can learn.

Qi Gong practices are generally authorized by God for healing and strengthening those who practice and for healing and strengthening others. Qi Gong practices are also generally authorized by God as a method of spiritual and meditative study and practice.

Qi Gong can potentially improve your health. For people who practice consistently, improved health is a goal and normal benefit.
It is also my sincere belief and recommendation that living a spiritually-aware life and eventually a spiritually-oriented life is very helpful for people.

The Creator designed and made Kundalini and Qi energies present in all human beings. Before studying and practicing, most people are not very aware of these energies but they definitely exist in each one of us. Human beings have the potential opportunity to learn and practice techniques to become aware of and enhance the effects of Kundalini and Qi energies for oneself and for others.

For thousands of years up to the present day, God has given intuitive guidance enabling people to learn about Kundalini and Qi energies and their cultivation through meditative and prayer practices. Once some people learn, other people are taught through spiritual schools. Many people can learn about Kundalini and Qi energies and practices from schools of study supported by God.

Spiritual meditation methods based in part on increasing Kundalini energy have been given to people as intuitive guidance from God starting long ago up to the present day. Such techniques were first practiced as spiritual practices by a large number of people studying Buddhism and Hinduism starting thousands of years ago. These meditation methods based in part on Kundalini energy have become interesting to more people worldwide during the past 100 years.

Qi Gong energy practices have also been given as intuitive guidance from God starting long ago up to the present day. They were first practiced by people studying Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism starting thousands of years ago. Qi Gong practice has been becoming very popular worldwide and is practiced by people of varied spiritual beliefs.

In South Asia, some people practice pranayama which has some similarities to Qi Gong. Pranayama is a practice of concentrating and flowing “prana” energy which is another name for Qi energy.

The study of these energies is also a popular pathway for some people who are not yet that interested in spirituality and religion to become more aware of the world as both a physical world and a world with non-physical energies and the presence of God. Over time, such people become more aware of God and the benefits of prayer and spiritual practices. Qi Gong practice involves cultivating (increasing) and feeling Qi energy which is not a physical energy. Some people who are not currently spiritual become interested in the health benefits of Qi Gong cultivation. While studying Qi Gong, they begin to discover that the universe is more than a physical universe.
Subtle energies like Kundalini and Qi were created as part of the created universe by God. It is very good and also common to study cultivating these energies for health.
